In 2021, I found out I was pregnant, and that was the sign I needed to call it quits on my 12-year teaching career. I was burnt out, stuck, and just plain miserable. But when I heard about life coaching, something clicked. I knew it was my way out.

I spent 8 months getting my coaching diploma, imagining that once I had it, I’d be able to set up a website, create a social media page, and boom—clients would start pouring in. Boy, was I wrong.

I had no idea how to actually run a business. My marketing was a mess, my messaging was all over the place, and I thought being a coach for everyone would somehow work. (It didn’t.)
